Heart Institute's 10k Walk During the 2017 Ottawa Race Weekend

For the 2017 Ottawa Race Weekend, the Heart Institute’s Heart Wise Exercise program set up a group of patients, alumni, staff and families and friends to participate in the 10k walk. Physiotherapist Marja-Leena Keast (centre) offered a free warm-up before the event and led the walk. The activity was a great success, giving participants the confidence to undertake this challenge.

Thanks to the UOHI Patient Alumni Association’s generous donation, the group looked sharp in their red Heart Wise Exercise t-shirts. We are looking forward to the event again next year, and invite all to join.
