The YMCA-YWCA is a founding partner of the Heart Wise Exercise model , partnering with the in the Ottawa region and has been a strong supporter of its evolution throughout Ontario. In addition to having Heart Wise Exercise designated programs at 37 facilities in Ontario, several Ontario YMCA-YWCAs have partnered with local health care professionals and other fitness partners on grant requests to evolve the HWE model into new regions.
