The National Capital Region YMCA-YWCA is a founding partner of the Heart Wise Exercise model and continues to be a strong supporter of its evolution throughout Ontario. In addition to having Heart Wise Exercise designated programs and leaders at all 6 of their facilities in the Ottawa region, the YMCA-YWCA has partnered with the University of Ottawa Heart Institute to receive grant funding for the HWE network in the Champlain region.
